Your car breaks down in the wilderness, 100 miles from the nearest Jewel-Osco, COULD YOU SURVIVE? If you said “No way!” and you want to learn how, come to the Troop 392 Survival Challenge November 7 to 9 at Silver Springs State Fish and Wildlife Area in Yorkville, IL. You will learn shelter building, fire making, foraging, trapping, and other skills. Afterwards, you’ll be able to answer “Way!” to the question – you’ll be a Survivor.

Return Permission Slips available in the "Outing Forms & Information" section (link) or below this post by October 28th Here are the things you must do before the trip: · Wear your uniform; scouts must travel in Uniform. · Prepare a personal survival kit · Preview assigned pages and bring your Boy Scout Handbook. We’re meeting at OSUMC at 5:00 pm on November 7th and returning at ~12:00am to OSUMC on the 9th. The cost will be $27/person including gas due to me by the October 28th troop meeting.
